Most picturesque picnic spots for you and the family to visit this summer.

Picnic season is upon us! And, whilst we’re all for a picnic in your local park or down at the beach, we’ve pulled together a list of stunningly beautiful picnic spots for you to lap up this summer if you fancy travelling further afield, or perhaps you have a birthday or special occasion coming up. Enjoy!

  • Kew GardensIf you’re London based and don’t have a car, this is the perfect spot where you’ll feel like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of the busy city despite it being reachable on the tube. A truly beautiful collection of gardens where you can spend the whole day exploring (after your picnic of course!)
  • Dartmoor National Park  – Located in Devon, Dartmoor is made up of vast open moorlands and deep river valleys. The perfect spot to enjoy and gorgeous walk pre-picnic pitstop!
  • Bickling Estate  – With 55 acres of garden and over 4,600 acres of parkland, you’ll be spoilt for choice looking for a picnic spots at this stunning Norfolk Estate.
  • Hampstead Heath  – A glorious wild park of woodland and meadows hidden inside North London’s Zone 2. Hampstead Heath offers for a great day out and if you’re feeling brave after your picnic you might want to take a dip in the ponds – younger children can paddle at the lido or swimming pool.
  • Wentworth Castle Gardens – A magnificent collection of gardens, woodlands and parkland – what more could you want!
  • Lyme – Located in Chesire, this gorgeous house is surrounded by gardens, moorland and deer park. The little ones are sure to enjoy some deer spotting after exploring the gardens and taking the views of Cheshire and Manchester.
  • Pentire  – Picnic with a sea view? Yes, please! This beautiful headland with far reaching views and managed wildlife will make for a breath-taking picnic spot on a sunny day.
