- You’re only human – When it comes to planning the next 6 weeks of holiday fun it’s so important to take a step back be realistic about what’s possible. What is important? What is essential? With so many activities, play dates and more happening it’s so easy to get swept up! Remember you’re only human and you can’t do it all!
- Prime your environment – Try and make changes to your normal routine to make it easier for you to juggle work and the kids, such as scheduling time to focus on things when you know the kids are busy. Make your team aware of your different availability so you don’t need to keep reminding people and it doesn’t cause any issues.
- You need a summer too – As hard as it is, try to make time for yourself and ensure you’re prioritising your own health and wellbeing. You can’t look after others if you’re not looking after yourself.
- Help is never a bad idea – Whether it’s parents, siblings, or friends, if you can help from others make the most of it and don’t feel guilty. It takes a village to raise a child remember!
